Airport Traffic Control
Airport Communication in ICS telecom
ICS telecom supports a large number of formats which allows it to interface with other radio planning tools as well as other applications (text formats, standard format, ODBC-compatible databases). Thanks to its sister application ICS map server, it can read and convert a large number of cartographic files and formats, including MapInfo© and ESRI© native formats.
ICS telecom undergoes several revisions a year, and a major revision every 18 months to two years. Customers are offered the most recent validated version, and shall receive free upgrades during the first year (and any year thereafter under a maintenance and support contract).
Due to its architecture, ICS telecom is not technology based and any type of system within the radio spectrum range can be simulated and studied. Multi technology studies can be managed within the same project in order to check the impact of one on another (for example, interference impact of Earth Stations or WiMAX BTS on existing Microwave links). This is why it is perfect choice for Air Traffic Control organizations which often have to mitigate Ground to Ground services with Ground to Air services or even ensure compatibility with Civilian services.
ICS telecom can help to design the networks to be deployed on an airport. The available systems
include but are not limited to:
- VOR
- ILS
- COM
- Multilateration (TDOA, TSOA and mixed TDOA/TSOA) [available as an option]
- DME-DME [available as an option]
- PMR communication networks
